Welcome to McLean Elementary Library

Meet the Library Staff

Amber Hoss, Librarian
I began teaching with WPS in 2013 and have had the privilege of working with students across multiple grade levels. For the past four years, I’ve taught 2nd grade here at McLean, and I’m thrilled to now step into the role of librarian.
I look forward to continuing to share my love of books and learning with our McLean Wildcats. Throughout your student’s time in the elementary library, they will have the opportunity to explore literature, develop a lifelong love of reading, and learn how to find, evaluate, and use information effectively.
I can’t wait to grow, learn, and discover right alongside them this year!
Guide to Book Care
- Keep your books in a safe place.
- Return your books on time.
- Do not eat or drink while reading library books.
- Wash and dry your hands before reading library books.
- Keep books away from pets and little ones. They do not know how to take care of books!
- Never draw or write in a library book!
- Always use a bookmark!
- If the library book has been damaged, bring it to your librarian. They will repair it if they can. DO NOT REPAIR THE BOOK YOURSELF! Your librarian has the right tools and training to fix books.
- If you lose your book or it is damaged while in your care, you will need to pay to replace it. Talk to your librarian.
